How to Fix a Receding Hairline: Grooming Tips for Men
My man, a receding hairline shouldn’t mean your confidence needs to recede as well. Although your hair may seem like the enemy, it’s actually your best ally in taking the focus away from the recession.
Maintaining your receding hairline should be simple & quick. No man has time to stand in front of the mirror all day. So we’ve narrowed the steps down to get it done, & to get it done right!
We have compiled 3 simple steps that can help add definition & volume to your hair, leaving you ready to face the day head-on.
Step 1 - Start with the forehead
To add definition to the front of your hair, you need to get rid of attention-grabbing scallywags underneath the hairline. This will visually thicken, create volume & strengthen the hairline.
To achieve this at home:
-
Grab your PRO METAL SERIES CLIPPER, set it to a 0 setting.
-
Use your palm as a safety blanket to ensure your the clipper blades don’t cut into the hairline.
-
Cut away the stray hairs sitting on your forehead below the hairline.
-
Cut in an upward motion for a close finish.
Pro Tip: Do this every week or as needed to keep your hair game on point.
Step 2 - Do the back of the neck
Don’t forget, if it ain’t growing on the front of your head, it’s most likely creeping down the back of your neck… not an attractive proposition. Just think of it this way, you don’t see the back of your neck but people who walk behind you every day do & first impressions matter.
A squared out back can add structure & help achieve a more finished look.
To achieve this at home, get yourself a shaving mirror or a trusted accomplice:
-
Just like above, PRO METAL SERIES CLIPPER, set it to a 0 setting.
-
Use your palm as a safety blanket to ensure your the clipper blades don’t cut into the hairline.
-
Cut away the strays.
-
Cut in an upward motion for a close finish
-
Do this every week or as needed to keep it squared off & defined
Step 3 - Finish off with the sideburns
The upkeep of your sideburns is just as important in adding structure & letting you put your best face forward. That being said, sideburns look best when resting mid-ear. The length also depends on the style of your hair you have.
If you rock a beard, to add prominence to the hair on top of your skull, you can fade the sides of your beard into your hair. This will create a more finished look, adding volume.
To achieve this:
-
Grab your XPERT Clip, set it to the same length as you use to trim your beard
-
Use an upwards swooping motion, fading the beard into the hair
Pro tip: Do this every week or as needed to maintain the fade. If you start to see your sideburns getting a little scruffy, that’s a great indicator to trim them down.
No more receding confidence because of your hairline. Now you can step up & clip with confidence. Get to it
